Description
This detailed 18th century map shows numerous details of the city, including canals, bridges, churches, convents, monasteries, and other places of interest. The 6 districts (sestieri) of the city are labelled, and inset indexes around the map list all of the bridges within each district. The map also includes an inset map in the upper right of the area around Venice, and inset drawings showing the Rialto bridge and the Piazza San Marco (St. Mark's Square).
